Virtual talent contest showcases student creativity

Last week, the Brock International Instagram account launched the inaugural Brock's Got Talent virtual competition, asking students to share their talent with the world. Participants were asked to record themselves singing, dancing, or performing a variety act and direct message it to the Instagram account. Dozens of entries were received and the top nine entries were put to popular vote on Friday, April 3. When voting closed on Monday, April 6, more than 500 nominations were received. The top three acts (Alireza Khorasani, first-year Biomedical student from Iran; Rachael Nalunga, second-year Nursing student from Uganda; and Maia Andrew, fourth-year Psychology student from Trinidad and Tobago) were rewarded with $75, $50 and $25 gift cards to Skip the Dishes.
