Student research featured at Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention

Brock Master of Sustainability candidate Emilie Jobin Poirier had her poster accepted to the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention (OFVC), which took place in Niagara Falls Feb. 21 and 22. The topic of her research, which was highlighted in the poster, is "Understanding Canadian winegrowers' perceptions of climate change and their implication for adaptation behaviours." Her work is being completed under the supervision of Gary Pickering and Ryan Plummer, both of Brock University. In her poster, preliminary results on the expectations of climate change impacts among winegrowers from Ontario, British Columbia and Québec were presented. These results indicate interprovincial differences and similarities, and in conjunction with data to be presented later, will inform the prevalence and nature of climate change adaptation actions adopted by the Canadian wine industry.
