The Niagara Women’s Drum Group out of the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre led a Round Dance through Brock University’s Market Hall on Thursday, March 8 in honour of International Women’s Day. Members of the crowd joined hands and danced around the room to the beat of the drums in a show of solidarity. Brock marked the day with a series of events, including a panel discussion on women, Hollywood and the #MeToo movement; an art installation, panel discussion and poster display highlighting the REDress Project; two art exhibition receptions; and a special Top Girls promotion.
