Residence Life staff prepare for incoming students

Dozens of Residence Life staff, including Mickyas Seyoum (centre), a Brock University fourth-year Concurrent Education student and DeCew Residence Don, and Braden Saunders (second from right), a Master of Computer Science student and Vallee Residence Don, participated in training Wednesday, Aug. 31 that prepared them for their important roles in mentoring, educating and supporting students living in the University's eight on-campus residences. With a focus on leadership, communication and collaboration, community management, and social and global awareness, the training is designed to provide Residence Life staff with the knowledge and tools required to help residence students successfully transition to life at Brock, make connections, build community, and stay happy, healthy and safe.
