Pups bring smiles to downtown arts school

Dozens of students made some new furry friends during the first Puppy Room of the school year held at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts on Wednesday, Oct. 3. The event, which allows students to spend time with therapy dogs, was hosted by Brock's Student Wellness and Accessibility Centre as part of the University's Mental Illness Awareness Week lineup. Among the pups' visitors were Biological Sciences student Ashley Haine, left, and Public Health student Madison Date, right, who spent time with volunteer Dawn Bergemann, centre, and her therapy dog Regan.
