Pasta dinner benefits Brock’s United Way campaign

Brock University's United Way Committee hosted its first drive-through pasta fundraiser Friday, Dec. 10 at Club Roma in St. Catharines. Nearly 60 pre-ordered meals were handed through vehicle windows by committee volunteers, such as Faculty Co-Chair Colleen Whyte, Associate Professor of Recreation and Leisure Studies. Proceeds from the event benefit Brock's employee fundraising campaign for the local charity. In October, Brock's United Way Committee set a fundraising goal to improve the lives of 3,200 people in Niagara through employee financial contributions. Although donations towards the campaign are welcome in the new year, fundraising will be complete this month. An end-of-campaign announcement will be made the week of Dec. 20.
