MIWSFPA takes part in REDress Project

In honour of Brock University's participation in the REDress Project this week, faculty and staff at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts have created an installation at the downtown campus. Organized by Roberta Doylend, Head of Wardrobe, with assistance from Gyllian Raby, Associate Professor, and Gavin Fearon, Technical Director, all from the Department of Dramatic Arts, red dresses can be seen in the top window of the MIWSFPA. The red dresses are meant to signify the loss of thousands of Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit, lesbian, gay, trans, bisexual, queer, questioning, intersex and asexual people over the past 40 years to colonial violence.   Head of Wardrobe at the Marilyn I. Walker School of Fine and Performing Arts, Roberta Doylend, prepares dresses for the installation in honour of the REDress Project.
