Rodman Hall curatorial team Marcie Bronson (left), Matthew Tegel and Emma German work on layout plans for the exhibit Material Girls, which opens at Rodman next month. The exhibition “brings together emerging, mid-career and senior female artists from across artistic disciplines and cultural backgrounds. Uniting these works is an exploration of material process and notions of excess as they relate to the feminized body, gendered space and capitalist desire.“ The exhibit is scheduled to run from Sept. 15 to Dec. 30. There will be an opening reception at 7 pm on Sept. 14, followed by a presentation by the exhibit’s curator Jennifer Matotek at 8 pm.
