Local MPs explore Anthropocene research site

Local Members of Parliament (MP) met with Brock University researchers last week to learn about internationally significant research that is happening in their own backyard. MP for Oakville North—Burlington Pam Damoff and MP for Milton Adam van Koeverden visited Crawford Lake in Milton on Friday, Aug. 18 to hear first-hand from Brock University Earth Sciences Professors Francine McCarthy and Martin Head about the research they are leading to formally define the Anthropocene as a new epoch in geological time.
