Grape growers and winemakers joined Brock's Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute for the Triggs International Premium Vinifera Lecture Series featuring speaker Markus Keller, Professor of Viticulture at Washington State University, on Thursday, Aug. 1. Keller led the vineyard visits/technical workshop at three local vineyards ahead of Friday’s free public lecture at Brock titled "Making vineyards more resilient to respond to climate change." The lecture series then heads to the Okanagan wine growing region of British Columbia, where Keller will conduct a vineyard visit/technical workshop on Tuesday, Aug. 6, followed by a public lecture on Wednesday, Aug. 7 exploring vineyard recovery after a severe weather event. The lecture series is made possible by an endowment established by Don and Elaine Triggs along with the sponsorship of BASF Canada to make it a national lecture series.
