The latest edition of The General, an undergraduate history journal published by the Brock University Historical Society, was celebrated alongside other student successes during an event hosted by the Department of History on Wednesday, April 10. History students, faculty and staff gathered at Pond Inlet for an awards ceremony honouring students' academic achievements over the past year. The General's contributing student authors also presented their research on a diverse range of historical topics, including advertisements across the British Empire, the presence of American women in Freemasonry, Scottish kilts, French Canadian cultural preservation and the United States’ counterinsurgency during the Vietnam War.
