Brock Badgers basketball player Cassidy Ryan (centre) was awarded the Jason Pearson Memorial Scholarship prior to tipoff of the men's basketball game versus McMaster at Bob Davis Gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 2. Jason Pearson was a former Badger who studied Physical Education and was a two-sport student-athlete, playing on both the Brock men’s varsity basketball and volleyball teams. Pearson was tragically killed a car accident in June 2001. In his honour, two annual scholarships are awarded to student-athletes in basketball and volleyball who embody his character.
