International business case competition comes to Brock

Students from Brock University’s Goodman School of Business competed in the annual World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara International Case Competition on Friday, March 1. Hosted for the first time on the Canadian side of the border, the 2024 competition took place at Brock and welcomed students from the University of Buffalo School of Management and Niagara University. This year’s Goodman team members included Bachelor of Business Administration students Naomi Lawrence, Nolan Kassie, Michael Cubelic and Erika Escolero Orrego, and faculty advisors Mark Parker and Navjote Khara. The competition focuses on international trade cases, tasking students to prepare and present their solutions in 24 hours to a renowned panel of judges. This year’s judges include Kevin Jacobi, Executive Director at CanadaBW Logistics Inc.; Marika Swain, Senior Business Advisor at the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade; Linda Soltis, Consulate General of Canada in New York; and Eileen Martin, Partner at Lippes Mathias LLP.
