History blossoms in Brock gardens

Fourth-year History student Kaylin Currie explains the layout of her medieval monastic garden during the HIST 3M60 Historical Garden tour Wednesday, Aug. 28. Currie and fellow fourth-year student Goran Irandost have spent the last four months researching and recreating historic gardens in Brock's community garden. Irandost was also on hand Wednesday to discuss the social function of Second World Victory Gardens in the United States and talk about his gardening experience. The students have been documenting their research and gardening experience on the Faculty of Humanities blog and Instagram. About a dozen people came out to learn about the historic gardening project and to sample botanical-themed refreshments.
