Students enrolled in Brock’s Oenology and Viticulture Program (OEVI) were invited to an intimate gathering on Tuesday, Jan. 23 in Pond Inlet to explore careers in their field. The evening event — an OEVI first — was designed to provide students with an opportunity to network with 11 industry professionals including winemakers, researchers and winery owners. Twenty-six students circulated around the room, joining industry invitees for informal 15-minute discussions on careers in the grape and wine industry. As an added bonus, several were looking to hire students and soon-to-be graduates for this upcoming season.
