Celebrating International Archaeology Day

Fifteen students from DSBN Academy visited the Department of Classics on Friday, Oct. 19 for a special International Archaeology Day workshop with faculty and graduate students. The Grade 11 students toured the department’s collection of ancient Cypriot artifacts and handled pot sherds in an archaeological drawing workshop led by professor Carrie Murray. Second-year MA student Nicole Gavin, left, spent time during the session helping Grade 11 student Madelyn Dover with a drawing. The visiting students also toured the campus and enjoyed a group lunch during the event, which was organized by the Department of Classics, DSBN Academy and ihub Niagara.
