Viticulturist Jim Willwerth from Brock’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI), talked about the impact of climate change on grape growing with a film crew from the Prairie Climate Centre at the University of Winnipeg on Friday, Aug. 9. Speaking to filmmaker Marcel Kreutzer and director Ian Mauro, he explained how CCOVI research and programs like VineAlert are helping the industry. The interview with be part of the Climate Atlas of Canada, an interactive tool for citizens, researchers, businesses and community and political leaders to learn about climate change by combining climate science, mapping and storytelling.
