Brock Talks begin on high note

Karin Di Bella, Associate Professor in Brock's Department of Music, kicked off the Brock Talks series at the St. Catharines Public Library on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Di Bella gave a lecture, which also doubled as a recital, on contemporary Canadian composer Jack Behrens. The Faculty of Humanities started Brock Talks in 2012 to introduce Humanities scholars and research to the St. Catharines community. The free public lectures are held in the library's Mills Room during the fall and winter terms. The next Brock Talks will be delivered by Lecturer Diane Bielicki from the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. She will be exploring German oral history of the Second World War and the insight it provides into current populist movements.
