Tanya Bradley, Brock University Manager, Student and Community Experience, delivers a welcome bag to Thorold resident Pat Kelly on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Brock Off-Campus Living (Student Life and Community Experience) was joined by Brock students, members of the Brock University Students' Union, Thorold and St. Catharines city councillors, Thorold and St. Catharines firefighters, and representatives from Niagara Region waste management and Habitat for Humanity, who came together to distribute about 1,000 bags to residents and students in neighbourhoods near the University. The bags contain useful information related to student housing, waste management, volunteering, shopping and responsible partying, among other topics. The goal of the Welcome Wagon is to remind students about their responsibilities while in off-campus living. It's about providing students with the information and resources they need to have a positive experience and ability to make an impact in the community.
