Walking with purpose

A group of people, many of them in pink shoes, walk together holding signs in support of the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes initiative in support of Gillian's Place.

On Friday, Oct. 4, Brock's Business Students’ Association partnered with Gillian’s Place to bring the annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser to Brock’s main campus. With the main event taking place Saturday, Oct. 19, which falls during Reading Week, student leaders wanted to still show their support and increase visibility amongst their peers on the issue of domestic violence. Together, students, staff and faculty raised $2,200 towards the 2024 Walk a Mile goal.
