Laurel Natale, a recent Brock transfer student, counts menstrual hygiene products collected for Tampon Tuesday, a national event organized by United Way. In total, Brock University faculty, staff and students donated more than 270 boxes of tampons and pads in support of people in need. Additionally, Brock University Students' Union — whose Food First student food bank is one of 13 beneficiaries — donated an additional 400 sample packs. The products were brought to a Tampon Tuesday event in St. Catharines on Tuesday, March 5. Three events across Niagara collected more than 3,000 menstrual hygiene products, which will be disbursed to local shelters and food banks.
