Brock International welcomed more than 100 staff and students to celebrate a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving in the International Centre lobby on Friday, Oct. 6. The Thanksgiving celebration was meant to introduce international students to the tradition, while also providing a fun get-together for students unable to make it home to mark the holiday with their own friends and family. “This is great because you see a lot of people from different worlds," said Ze Liu, a fourth-year Business Administration student from China. Ana Sofia Rua, a second-year Economics and Business student from Portugal, said the event helped to curb the homesickness she was feeling for her family. The buffet-style meal included turkey with all the fixings — mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, honey-glazed carrots and a slice of pumpkin pie.
