Tinkering with tools on Take Our Kids to Work Day

More than 30 Grade 9 students visited Brock University Wednesday, Nov. 2 as part of the annual career exploration event Take Our Kids to Work Day. Students spent the morning listening to presentations by a variety of Brock professionals and participating in a tour of campus. After lunch, students joined their Brock employee parent or sponsor in their working environment to learn about their role. Mark Weller, Controls Mechanic with Facilities Management, spent time showing his son Evan Weller, a Grade 9 student from Hamilton District Christian High School, how to repair a variable air volume modular assembly, which digitally controls heating and cooling for many of the offices on campus.
