High school students from across Ontario gathered at Brock University on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 to immerse themselves in the ancient history of the Mediterranean at the Ontario Student Classics Conference (OSCC). The annual event sees students compete in friendly competitions in Greek, Latin, history, archaeology, theatre, arts and athletics. During the highly anticipated recreation of an ancient Olympic Game chariot race, Humberside Collegiate Institute students Nastia Demianiv (left) and Maia Vik pulled Alexander Muramatsu-Boettcher around the track at Canada Games Park while spectators cheered them on.
