Ted Nolan shared his story with an Indigenous Education class at Brock on Tuesday, Nov. 13. Nolan is a former NHL player and respected OHL, NHL and international hockey coach. He grew up in a large family on the Garden River First Nation in northern Ontario. During his talk, he highlighted the importance of hard work, perseverance, learning and belief in one’s goals. He also encouraged the future educators in the class to be effective communicators who make students feel cared for and included.
