From nerve regeneration to curling analytics, emerging scholars shared their work at the Brock University Faculty of Mathematics and Science's annual undergraduate research symposium on Aug. 20. Outstanding Poster Presentation Awards from the Office of the Dean were presented to Sophie Della Manna for “Introductory electronics for scientists: Effect of high integration on critical thinking lab skills and epistemological beliefs in physics undergraduates,” Alaa Masaoud for “Evaluating tail parameter estimation methods for extreme value distributions: Toward confidence intervals for integrated information” and Robert Cruickshank for “Regeneration afloat: Nerve regeneration in floating brain culture.”
