Brock community members will have the opportunity to help students impacted by food insecurity when the Swipe it Forward initiative returns to campus next week. From Monday, Feb. 12 to Friday, Feb. 16, participating dining locations will be collecting donations of $1, $2 or $5 to support the Food First program, which provides students in need with local grocery store gift cards and connections to food security community resources and programming. Brock Dining Services Marketing Manager Kaitlyn Lalande demonstrates how to donate while checking out at the Hungry Badger, one of the participating locations. Donations will be also be collected at the Market Eatery and the DeCew and Lowenberger Fresh Food Company locations. Accepted tender includes cash, debit, credit, Dining and Flex Dollars. Brock Dining Services is excited to continue this partnership with the Brock University Students’ Union and Graduate Students’ Association in support of the important cause.
