Spotlighting Black youth experiences in education

Professor of Educational Studies Dolana Mogadime recently spoke at Breaking the Cycle, a national conference held at Brock University from April 24 to 25. During her presentation, Data and Reality Check: What the Evidence Shows, Mogadime shared findings from a survey developed by Future Black Female (FBF) on Black youth exploring mental health and wellness and their experiences of anti-Black racism. Organized by FBF, the conference aimed to deepen understanding and drive meaningful change in how Black children and youth experience the Canadian school system.
