First-year Integrated Engineering student Evan Thomas joined other student and staff volunteers to write Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action in chalk around campus on Thursday, Sept. 5. The event was part of a month-long series of events leading up to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day on Monday, Sept. 30. The events provide an opportunity to learn about and recognize the impact of the residential school system in Canada and the harm colonization continues to have on Indigenous Peoples across the country today.
