Brock University's Science Mentorship Program celebrated another successful year on Saturday, Feb. 1 with the annual Mentorship Symposium, with 21 Grade 12 students from 13 schools across Niagara participating in this year's program. Research was conducted under the supervision of mentors from the Faculty of Math and Science, Applied Health Sciences and Social Sciences. The Symposium was opened by Joffre Mercier, Professor in Biological Sciences and long-time program mentor. This year marks 26 years that Mercier has welcomed a mentorship student into his lab. Students in the program are encouraged to be curious and seek out further research opportunities as they embark on their post-secondary studies.
