The Department of Sport Management hosted their 14th annual Student Research Colloquium on Monday, April 10 in the Plaza building. The day featured 11 presentations from a mixture of Brock undergraduate and master’s students, as well as a keynote address from Kate Henne, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology and Legal Studies at the University of Waterloo. Henne’s talk was titled, “Sex, Drugs and Sport: Challenges for Regulation and Inclusion.” The colloquium organizers expressed gratitude to Henne, all the student presenters, and the sports teams (Toronto Blue Jays, Niagara IceDogs, and Toronto Maple Leafs) who donated prizes for the presenters. “Everyone involved helped to make the day a tremendous success,” said Sport Management Associate Professor Craig Hyatt.
