Reflection and resilience

On Friday, Dec. 6, award-winning author Nadine Williams delivered an inspirational reading of her poem "Us Women" as part of Brock University's memorial marking the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women and reflecting on the 14 women murdered at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal in 1989. Held at the Faith and Life Centre in Alphie’s Trough, the event also featured remarks from Brock President and Vice-Chancellor Lesley Rigg and Taylor Court, Education Co-ordinator with Brock’s Office of Human Rights and Equity’s Gender and Sexual Violence team.
