Brock University welcomed 65 students from the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) on Friday, May 4 for the annual DSBN Programming Contest. Brock’s Faculty of Mathematics and Science opened its computer labs to students for a two-and-a-half-hour competition. Following the contest, students were treated to a pizza lunch while results were tabulated by markers. Associate Professor of Computer Science Dave Hughes thanked the group and shared information about available Computer Science programs at Brock before the first-, second- and third-place winners were announced and awarded prizes provided by the University. Participants also had an opportunity to win raffle prizes. Ejaz Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science, thanked all involved in organizing the event and said he was looking forward to continuing partnerships with the community.
