Interactive Arts and Science (IASC) and GAME students put their knowledge of game design to good use during a special workshop with local game development studio Rocketship Park Thursday, March 1. Industry veterans and Rocketship Park founders Jim Squires and Shane McCafferty gave students the opportunity to playtest and analyze an early version of a new puzzle-solving game. Students used their knowledge of storytelling and interactive narratives to analyze the game’s non-verbal storytelling and emotional impact, offering Squires and McCafferty feedback and ideas that might make it into the final product. A follow-up session with students is being held Friday, March 9.
