Brock University Associate Professor of Recreation and Leisure Studies Kyle Rich and students Vivien Ugwu, Grace Nelson and Tammy Borgen-Flood attended the Northern Directions conference in North Bay from Nov. 16 to 18, presenting on strategies for fostering social inclusion in rural sport and recreation. Hosted by the Northern Policy Institute and the Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation, the event brought together academics, policy-makers, practitioners and community development professionals to discuss key issues in northern Ontario and share learning and best practices in rural development and policy from across Canada.
