Produce market pops up on campus

Student Life Assistant and third-year Medical Sciences student Tochukwu Daniel Oguejiofor helped to set up the Food First Pop-Up Produce Market on Monday, July 15 in the Rankin Family Pavilion. Hosted by the Student Life and Success team, the Brock University Students’ Union (BUSU) and the Graduate Students' Association (GSA), these monthly markets provide low- or no-cost fruit and vegetables to students and others in the Brock community as part of the Food First program. A partnership between BUSU, GSA and Brock University, the Food First program supports students experiencing food insecurity through events like the Pop-Up Produce Market and by providing grocery store gift cards as well as connections to community resources. Visit the Food First website for details on ways to support the program. Information on future Food First events can be found on ExperienceBU.
