Overcoming oppression focus of summit

Brock’s BIPOC Caucus celebrated its first year as a club with a summit event Wednesday, March 29 that discussed ways to confront and overcome systems of oppression in society. During the event, participants heard from Brock's Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Culture and Education in Human Resources Trecia McLennon (pictured above); cross-appointed Lecturer of Women’s and Gender Studies and Sociology Lyn Trudeau; and Assistant Professor of Sociology Gökbörü Sarp Tanyildiz, who each spoke about confronting systems of oppression.
