Nursing grads get pinned

Almost 300 family and friends joined 65 fourth-year nursing students for our annual pinning ceremony. Being pinned is very prestigious within the nursing profession and is a symbol of nursing excellence. The tradition of pinning nurses is over 100 years old and every school of nursing has its own customized pin which symbolizes that their students are prepared to serve the health needs of society. The Brock University nursing pin represents a commitment to nursing education and training, and is a visual symbol within our communities of the excellent care our graduates provide to patients and their loved ones each and every day. The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences congratulates our nursing students on their academic accomplishments, dedication and professionalism.
