Music@Noon with a historic twist

There was a new element introduced during the Tuesday, Jan. 23 RBC Foundation Music@Noon performance that helped to captivate the audience. Brock Instructors Timothy White and Lesley Kingham created a performance in honour of Canada's 150th birthday and to honour those that served in the First World War. White and Kingham performed pieces written by Herbert L. Clarke, an American cornetist who later became famous for playing in bands in Toronto. Between songs, White would educate the audience about the pieces being played — a unique addition to the Tuesday concert series.
