The French section of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures hosted a French cultural evening for area high school teachers on Thursday, Feb. 7. Alumnus Nick Cooper, pictured at left with Assistant Professor Nigel Lezama, spoke about his experience living and working in Nantes, France, from August 2017 to May 2018. He encouraged students to take advantage of exchange opportunities and to immerse themselves in local culture and activity while abroad. The evening also included a workshop on the cultural heritage of masks by Nafée Nelly Faïgou of SOFIFRAN and a reading by francophone author Fété Kimpiobi.
