A group of 23 Brock University students and staff traveled to Sumter, South Carolina during February Alternative Reading Week to assist in building a house for a local family through a partnership with Habitat for Humanity. These students logged over 1,100 volunteer hours throughout the week, enriching lives through this service-learning initiative. The Brock Student Life & Community Experience department hosts this program every year, along with a similar trip to El Salvador running the same week.
