Second and third year students, Ahmed Ibrahim, Benjamin Davis , Alexandria Albano, Mohammed Ibrahim and Laree Dicks, are participating in a lab for the Principles of Human Physiology (HLSC 2P09) course which serves a diverse group of students including those from the Medical Sciences, Biomed and Community Health programs. This spring, is the first time the labs, have been introduced into the HLSC 2P09 course. “The labs provide students with a unique opportunity to acquire practical experience and learn about the function of the human body at the cellular and whole body level. Students work in groups and develop communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills. The group environment provides them with the opportunity to foster communication and an exchange of ideas and reinforces the course aims and objectives,” says Health Sciences Associate Professor Evangelia Tsiani.
