Kim Pelchat, Manager of the Instructional Resource Centre (IRC) in the Faculty of Education, demonstrates one of 28 stations at a Makerspace event on Monday, May 27. The event welcomed 130 elementary school students from Grades 1 to 3, as well as Grade 8 to Brock’s Hamilton Campus. IRC Makerspaces offer children opportunities to explore hands-on learning stations that promote creativity, innovation and collaboration. These stations range from beading and paper crafts to coding and creating stop motion movies. In total, more than 750 elementary school students will participate in Brock Makerspace events between May 22 and 30 at the Hamilton Campus.
