Highlighting opportunities for growth

Leaders from Ontario’s garlic sector recently visited Brock’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) and the National Grapevine Germplasm Repository Facility. Garlic Growers Association of Ontario Chair Joann Chechalk and Executive Director Shauna Boyle were joined by Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness Vegetable Crops Specialist Travis Cranmer for the tour on March 9. They were hosted by CCOVI Director Debbie Inglis and team members Bahdra Vemulapati, Kevindi Gunasekara and Tony Wang, who highlighted research facilities and discussed opportunities for crop innovation and testing other commodities.
