Head start for science students

Abigail Thompson (left), an incoming Brock University Biological Sciences student, and Sophie Kakihara are among a group of 68 students participating in Brock's Science Start program this summer. The five-week preparation course offered by the Department of Biology is designed for students entering a degree program with a biology component. Through lessons, workshops and labs offered in a fully online or hybrid format every week, students develop the fundamental biology concepts and science skills needed to be successful in their future university courses. This week in lab, students learned about pH meters, preparing solutions and the titration chemical analysis process.
