Grad students get crafty at annual retreat

Applied Disability Studies master’s student Linh Dang (left) and incoming Applied Linguistics master’s student Diana Cecilia Aguilar Posada had a real hoot making sock owls at this year’s Graduate Writing Retreat on Thursday, May 30. The sock owl workshop was led by Allison Flynn-Bowman, Graduate Liaison and Support Co-ordinator for the Faculty of Social Sciences, as part of the daylong event. The annual retreat is hosted by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs and gives Brock graduate students the opportunity to enhance their writing skills, consult one-on-one with writing and research specialists and connect with other graduate students in a supportive and inspiring environment.
