Students from the Brock Finance and Investment Group, a Goodman School of Business student club, presented a $2,200 donation to Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold Nov. 27. The donation marks the culmination of the annual Investment Challenge for Charity, an online investment simulator that provides students, faculty and staff with $100,000 in virtual money to invest in publicly traded stocks over an eight-week period. The friendly competition saw more than 50 participants compete for the highest return for their $20 investment. Student club executives donated the proceeds from the initiative in an effort to give back to their local community.
