Brock welcomed MPP Tyler Watt (left) to campus for the first time on Wednesday, March 18 to learn about the University’s broad academic and research strengths. A registered nurse himself, Watt toured Brock's Nursing labs with Assistant Professor of Nursing Amina Silva. During the visit, Silva showcased some of Brock's hands-on simulation technology, including virtual reality (VR) technology and extended reality (XR) tools that offer students opportunities to build confidence and competence before entering clinical settings. VR is currently used in Nursing labs and will be integrated into student learning in the future.
