Adventurer and Brock alumnus Adam Shoalts (BA ’09) showed his colours this week as he traversed the Yukon tundra, during his 4,000-km, one-man trek through the wilderness of Canada’s North. Adam set off in mid-May near the Alaska border, and intends to reach Hudson Bay in September, travelling by foot, pack raft and canoe. He has crossed the Peel River, walked part of the Dempster Highway (Canada’s most northern road) and is making for the Northwest Territories and the mighty Mackenzie River, where he faces 320 km of upstream travel.
