The Campus Rec Crew at Brock, pictured in the early 2000s, gets ready for Challenge Day, an initiative that encouraged employees to get active. Friendly competition was had between Brock and Niagara College to see who could get the most employees active on a specific day. The event was the inspiration for the existing Brock Wellness Day. The organizing team included, top to bottom: Jennifer Currie (PhEd '93). Then — Brock women’s volleyball coach, founder of the Positive Active Living for Students (PALS) program. Now — principal of Prince of Wales Public School in St. Catharines; Lynn Hunter-Hope (MeD '99). Then — ran a Brock health program for employees. Now — retired, teaching fitness and active in Niagara-on-the-Lake; Karen McAllister-Kenny (MeD ’97). Then — Brock campus recreation co-ordinator. Now — Director of Recreation Services for Brock Sports. Brian Ker (MeD ‘00). Then —Fitness and instructional program co-ordinator. Now — retired and spending time engaged at the Walker Sports Complex.
